Support for Men
We recognise that men can also be affected by pregnancy loss, baby loss, or pregnancy choices. While these experiences may differ from those of women, societal expectations may lead some men to feel pressured to stay strong for their partner.
However, many men grieve and may face mental health challenges as a result of such experiences.
Counselling sessions
TimeNorfolk offers counselling to anyone experiencing mental health challenges due to pregnancy loss at any stage, baby loss or pregnancy choices.

Men’s Support group
TimeNorfolk supports bereaved parents of any gender. We are aware that men may have less support available to them following pregnancy or baby loss. We offer a fortnightly group open for men impacted by pregnancy or baby loss who are keen to meet with others.

How we can support you
We begin with an initial appointment to understand your circumstances, explore your needs, and discuss how we can support you.
Our services include individual counselling, couples counselling, group support, or an onward referral. We offer face to face support in Norwich as well as online sessions.
Former TimeNorfolk male client
“I cannot express how valuable it has been. Being able to be open about feelings, thoughts and how that knitted with other external pressures/stress/related challenges. I really couldn’t have asked for anything more.
[The counsellor’s] experience mapped well with my own personality traits, and they brought knowledge not directly related to the loss but certainly helped them understand how I was processing the trauma. Extremely valuable”.

Session Fees
TimeNorfolk is a charity that relies on counselling session payments from clients to maintain and develop our service.
Many small charities, including TimeNorfolk, are facing significant challenges due to a combination of factors, including rising costs and difficulties in securing stable funding.
We ask that you will be prepared to discuss payment at your intake appointment.
Intake appointment (60 mins): No charge
In this appointment we invite you to explore your needs and discuss whether counselling or group-work would be appropriate for you.
To accommodate the variations in individual circumstance, we have a sliding scale for counselling payments, all of which are offered at a reduced cost.
If you are unable to pay the minimum fee, consideration will be given to your financial circumstances in our efforts to make counselling accessible.
Individual counselling (50 mins): £20 - £40 per session
Couples counselling (60 mins): £40 - £50 per session
Group: £10 per session
Under 18s: No payment is required as we are currently funded for young people.
Pregnancy Choices (60 mins stand-alone session): No payment required as we are currently sponsored by Norfolk Community Foundation.
