Individual counselling
Experiencing the loss of a pregnancy or baby—whether through termination, miscarriage, stillbirth, or any other circumstance—can be an intensely emotional experience that may affect many aspects of life. Feelings such as grief, sadness, guilt, failure, and emptiness are natural and understandable responses to such a loss.
Individual counselling can be invaluable when seeking a space separate from friends and family to process thoughts and emotions. Our team of qualified and student counsellors are trained to support you.

Couples counselling
The unexpected and untimely loss of a pregnancy or baby can deeply impact a relationship. While some couples find that such a loss brings them closer together, for many, the complexities of grief highlight differences in how each partner copes with the bereavement. These differences may call for varying forms of support.
For some, individual counselling provides a private space to feel heard without the worry of adding to their partner's. For others, couples counselling offers a shared, supportive environment to process grief together and build mutual understanding.

Group Support
Miscarriage support group
For those who have experienced one or more miscarriages in their first trimester of pregnancy. Facilitated by members of the counselling team this enables those with similar losses to meet. Topics may include self-care, relationship issues, navigating significant dates, anger, fears and grief support.
Termination / Abortion support group
This group provides the opportunity to listen to the experiences of others and have a non-judgemental, compassionate space in which to hear your own thoughts and feelings expressed. It is our hope that this group gives you permission to process the complexity of this experience and find a way forward that is appropriate for you.
Men’s Support group
TimeNorfolk supports bereaved parents of any gender. We are aware that men may have less support available to them following pregnancy or baby loss. We are looking to offer a group open to men impacted by pregnancy or baby loss who are keen to meet with others.
Please see our Useful links for other support groups.

TimeNorfolk is a charity that relies on counselling session payments from clients to maintain and develop our service.
Many small charities, including TimeNorfolk, are facing significant challenges due to a combination of factors, including rising costs and difficulties in securing stable funding.
Therefore, we ask that you be prepared to discuss payment during your intake appointment.
The payments will be:
Intake appointment: No charge
Weekly counselling session: £30 - £40 payment per session
Couples counselling: £40 - £50 per session
Group: £10 per session
Under 18s: No payment is required as we are currently funded for young people.
We understand that circumstances differ and special circumstances for financial hardship can be discussed. If you are unable to pay the minimum payment of £20 per session, consideration will be given to your financial circumstances to ensure that counselling is accessible.
