Yes, absolutely. We understand that loss can have a lasting impact on individuals and their loved ones. Whether your loss was recent or a long time ago, our support services are available to you. Please make a self-referral and someone from our office will be in touch to discuss how we can best support you.
We have a team of 25 compassionate counsellors, who all create a safe and confidential space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood. Our counsellors undergo specific training to understand the issues that face our clients, and are either fully qualified counsellors, or working towards a degree level counselling qualification. You can be assured that you will receive a high quality level of confidential support.
We understand that it can be challenging to find childcare when attending counselling sessions, especially if you have another child. However, we ask that you refrain from bringing your child with you to your appointment to ensure that our office is a safe and comfortable space for all our clients. Our counselling rooms are designed to provide a peaceful environment where you can focus on your thoughts and emotions without any distractions.
We offer group counselling sessions where clients have the opportunity to meet others who have gone through similar experiences. These sessions can provide a supportive and healing environment where clients can share their feelings and gain perspective from others who have gone through similar challenges. However, group sessions are not a requirement and individual counselling sessions are available as well.
We welcome clients of all ages, including those under 18. Our counsellors are trained to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups, and we provide a safe and welcoming environment for all clients. If you are under 18 and would like to access our services, please make a self-referral and someone from our office will be in touch to discuss how we can support you.
Yes, we take confidentiality very seriously and will ensure that your personal information and situation remain confidential. If you need to cancel or reschedule your counselling appointment, please let us know as soon as possible either by calling the office on 01603 927487 or emailing info@timenorfolk.org.uk. We understand that unexpected events can occur, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
It is not necessary to prepare anything for your counselling session, but some clients find it helpful to reflect on their thoughts and feelings before their appointment. You may also want to think about what you hope to achieve through counselling and what you would like to discuss in your session. However, your counsellor will guide the conversation and help you explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and non-judgmental space.
We recommend that you avoid consuming drugs or alcohol before your counselling sessions, as this can interfere with your ability to fully engage in the counselling process. Additionally, we recommend that you prioritise self-care in the days leading up to your session, as this can help you feel more grounded and present during your counselling session.
You may be ready to end counselling if you feel like you have met your goals, have developed new coping skills, feel more confident and capable of managing your problems on your own, and no longer feel the need for regular support from a counsellor. Ultimately, the decision to end counselling is a personal one and should be made with careful consideration and in collaboration with your therapist.
